About Sixteen suspected cultists have been arrested at Chokocho in Etche Local Government Area, Â Rivers State by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force, Rivers State Command.
Confirming the arrest, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nnamdi Omoni revealed that, “The cultists were heading to Okirika , where they wanted to do their initiation and from there they were to go to Tai for cult activities.
“Then through intelligence,  our men intercepted them on their way. Fourteen of them were arrested, the driver of the vehicle and the conductor were also there, but they are not members of the cult group. The cult group is De bam cult group  ”
He stated that those arrested would be prosecuted, while thorough investigation has commenced to unravel sponsors of the cult group.
Omoni further warned that anybody fingered during the investigation, no matter how highly placed in society would be prosecuted.
