Police officers have arrested Mr. Tosin Oluwatosin, with a human head at about 3.35pm February 15, in Ifaki-Ekiti, Ido/Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
This incident is coming on the heels of recent spate of beheading in the state. It was reported that a farmer in Ayede-Itaji in Oye Local Government Area, A herdsman and one other victim were beheaded within one week in the state.
Oluwatosin confessed to the murder of his 12 year old victim during interrogation at the state police headquarters.
Confirming the incident to reporters, police spokesman Alberto Adeyemi said “Yes, it is true. One of the suspects is on the run. The victim is about 12-year-old and we are still looking for the body.
“We are also on the brother’s trail. After investigation,, the suspects will be charged to court.”
He further disclosed that the police would investigate if the brothers were involved in the recent spate of beheadings in the state.
