As the ongoing National Festival for Arts and Culture (NAFEST) enters day 5 today, boat regatta, reception of children participants, command performance, state reception will take place at their various venues in the state.
A statement by the Secretary, Media and Publicity subcommittee, NAFEST Rivers2018, Mr. Jerry Needam, said the boat regatta contest shall hold at Port Harcourt tourist beach, off Harold Wilson drive, Port Harcourt by 12 noon.
Also scheduled for today is the reception of Children participants at NAFEST Rivers2018 by wife or the Rivers State Governor, Her Excellency, Hon. Justice Mrs Suzzette Nyesom Wike by 2pm at the Government House, Port Harcourt.
The final event for the day will be a command performance and state reception by 7pm at Jim-Rex Lawson, Cultural Center, Port Harcourt.
In the statement, the state government urged the people of Rivers State to turn out in their numbers to participate in all the events and give the visitors the traditional warm hospitality for which the state is known for.
The Festival is slated to run from the 20th to the 27th of October, 2018.
