Breaking: Wike approves recruitment of 10,000 teachers, 4,000 non academic staff

The Rivers State Government has announced plans to recruit 10,000 teachers in the next academic session.

Making the disclosure on behalf of the Nyesom Wike led administration, the Commissioner for Education, Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, said the move is part of efforts by the state government to reposition the education sector.

He stated that the employment would be for Senior and Junior secondary schools in the state, reiterating that this service will put an end to the demand for more teachers.

He further disclosed that 4,000 non academic and other auxiliary staff will be employed for the next academic session.
