NRM Chairman, Chief Barango-Tariah debunks alleged attack on him by ASALGA Council Boss

The LGA Chairman of the National Rescue Movement (NRM), Chief Lloyd Barango Tariah has debunked rumours that he was slapped and physically attacked by the ASALGA Council Boss, Hon. Onengiyeofori George.

Chief Barango-Tariah made this disclosure while speaking to newsmen shortly after a peace meeting courtesy of HRH Datonye Igbanibo George, Kariboye George Amachree VIII, Polodabo of George’s Compound and Hon. Sobere Lloyd Barango, immediate younger brother to the Party Chief.

He said what transpired was a matter of failure on their part to secure the Council’s permission as required.

According to him , Hon. Onengiyeofori George is a sincere, fair, just and equitable Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Area and he has always been doing what is right for all Asalgans.

He revealed that permission has been granted to them free of charge for the PVC sensitization program in Krakrama tomorrow because proper procedure has been followed by the NRM.

He, however, assured of the NRM co-operation going forward in promoting peace in the LGA.
