new militant group threatens to shutdown Nigeria next week

A new group, the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force which claims to be working closely with the  Niger Delta Avengers, says it would enforce no flight operation within the Nation’s airspace,  launch six missiles and shut down Nigeria’s satellite system  from Tuesday next week.

The statement sent through email to journalists in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, on Thursday, and signed by ‘General’ Akotebe Darikoro, Commander, General Duties; ‘General’ Torunnanaowei Latei, Creeks Network Coordinator; ‘General’ Agbakakuro Owei-Tauro, Pipelines Bleeding Expert; and ‘General’ Pulokiri Ebiladei of its Intelligence Bureau, also gave the Nigerian Military 48 hours to vacate the Niger Delta region or face the consequences.

The group accused President Muhammadu Buhari of allegedly splitting the country with his policies, and  claimed that the new group, which has endorsed a 15 point agenda, is the highest organ of all the the freedom fighting groups, in the country .

The niger delta region and the federal government of nigeria should settle their differences amicable. First and foremost, Nnamdi Kanu should be released.
