A suspected armed robber met his waterloo yesterday at Elelewon community , in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers state, after a failed robbery attempt.Â
Africa Update gathered that three armed men who drove a Toyota Corolla car with plate number Lagos JJJ-104AG , were intercepted by some officers attached to Eliminiigwe Estate, while trying to rob Divine Supermarket at 293, Old Refinery Road Elelenwo.
During a fierce gun battle, one of the robbers was shot dead at the scene, while the others escaped.
The President of Elelewon Youth Association,Comrade Chijioke Okechukwu Chinda confirmed the incident to our correspondent.
Investigation has also commenced to apprehend the others.
