Rivers State Government set to kick off “original” Trans Kalabari Road- Danagogo

Rivers State Government says the original Kalabari road project will see the light of day, as the groundbreaking ceremony is billed to take place sometime in May 2024.

The hint was dropped by the Secretary to State Government, Tammy Wenike Danagogo, during a Thanksgiving celebration honouring Governor SIM Fubara’s victory at the Supreme Court in Degema Local Government Area.

Danagogo emphasized the significant benefits Degema and surrounding areas will reap from the completion of the road project.

Noting that riverine communities such as Tombia, Bakana, Ogurama, Bukuma, will be connected by the Trans Kalabari Road for the betterment of Rivers people.

Speaking further, he took a swipe at lawmakers whose seats have been declared vacant for contemplating to impeach the State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, Danagogo questioned the basis for such moves, and urged the lawmakers to declare to the public, the alleged offenses committed by Fubara to warrant their actions.

He dubbed the Simplified Movement Thanksgiving events across Rivers State as “Operation Protect Rivers State,” “Operation Liberate Rivers State,” and “Operation Salvage Rivers State,” rallying support for the state’s interests.

Danagogo extended gratitude to the people of Degema for their overwhelming participation in thanking God for His blessings upon Rivers State, assuring continued prosperity under Sir Fubara’s leadership.
