Nigerian Professional Football League{NPFL} team, Enyimba International who were the better side in their last group game defeated Congo’s Cara Brazzaville 1~0 in a tough game played on Wednesday, August 29th to qualify for the quarter finals of the ongoing 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
The people’s Elephant who played at their traditional home stadium in Aba for the first time after 3 years, headed into the game in need of atleast a point to progress to the quarter finals but ended up bagging all three points thanks to a late additional time goal from Wasiu Alalade at their newly renovated stadium.
The hard earned and well deserved victory means the People’s Elephant finished top of group C and qualified for the quarter finals with 12 points.
