A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, presided over by Justice Adamu T. Mohammed, on Friday dismissed a suit seeking to disqualify the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Siminalayi Fubara, from contesting the 2023 elections.
Chief Morgan West, an aspirant of the PDP, had challenged Fubara’s candidacy, alleging that he (Fubara) was not a member of the party and did not have a valid PDP membership card, among other issues.
But Justice Mohammed delivering judgement, threw out the suit filed by the plaintiff for incompetence and lack of jurisdiction.
