The Executive Director , Marine and Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, Hon. Dr Sokonte Davies, heartily congratulates, Senators Andrew Igbonule Uchendu and Magnus Ngei Abe on their resounding victories at the court of appeal which upheld their victories and ruling of the tribunal over the December 10th legislative rerun elections.
Dr Davies in a statement issued, said “the victories were an affirmation of the mandate given the distinguished senators by the good people of Rivers East Senatorial District and Rivers South East Senatorial District, and a confirmation both of the perfect will of God and of the irrefutable choice of the people of the districts”.
He thanked the judiciary for standing up to its responsibilities stating that, the victories reinforces the confidence ‘ our people’ have on the judiciary.
Davies, also felicitated with Hon Chidi Wihioka (Reps), Hon Barry Mpigi (Reps), Hon Maurice Propnen (Reps), Hon Josiah Orlu (RSHA), Hon Friday Nkeeh (RSHA), Hon Innocent Barikor (RSHA) saying their victories were a good advancement for democracy in Rivers State and Nigeria at large, and he trust in their wealth of legislative experience to represent the good people of their constituencies.
He further said, ” I want to congratulate members of the APC in Rivers State for this mind blowing victories as this has been a long fought battle for which some had sleepless nights and were restless, but at the end justice has been served”
He commended the leader of the party and Minister for Transportation, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for providing quality leadership for the party and prayed God to grant him more wisdom and grace to lead the party to greater heights.
