A mother of two young children, Mrs. Ronke Shonde was found dead at her home yesterday morning. According to our source, it was alleged that her husband, Lekan Shonde may have beaten her to death, during a domestic dispute.
The couple  lived at 5, Tiemo Crescent,  off Awori Street, Ile-epo Alhaji,  Egbeda before the incident occurred, where neighbors disclosed that  the couple argued and fought on Friday morning and they were oblivious to the fact that the husband had allegedly killed his wife. They further disclosed that it was the screams of the nanny who discovered the corpse at 7 a.m. Saturday, that alerted neighbours who broke the door to gain access into the apartment. The nanny said she saw the children through the window  in tears, as they frantically tried to wake their dead mother. When tthe door was eventually forced open, neighbors found blood stain on the woman’s head. The Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, while  confirming  the incident, said the report was made by one Mrs Tiemo E.B at Idimu Division, saying that one of her tenants may have been killed.  She  stated that the whereabouts of the suspect is still unknown and his phones are switched off, but disclosed that the case had been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID, for investigation.
