Six persons, including four naval officers attached to an oil servicing company, are feared dead at a wellhead that supply crude oil to the Nembe flow station, in Nembe local government area, Bayelsa State following an attack by suspected militants on Tuesday.
Africa Update gathered that the victims left the flow station to inspect the wellhead and the employee’s wife, who was identified as Mercy and was on a visit, decided to accompany her husband on the inspection tour.
Our source said they were attacked by some militants, immediately they got to the wellhead close to the flow station and the woman was killed on the spot, while the whereabouts of the employee and the security personnel are unknown. There are however, insinuation that they may have been killed.
