A four-month-old baby girl has died on a flight from London Heathrow to Hong Kong, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing.
It was reported that the baby became unconscious mid way through the Cathay Pacific plane’s journey, a passenger who was a nurse gave first aid before the pilot had to make an emergency landing at an airport in Kazakhstan in the central Asian country to seek medical help.
The child’s parents who have French-Chinese nationality, had been on their way to visit relatives on the Chinese mainland. They made the decision to continue their flight to Hong Kong with their dead infant onboard.
The cause of death is still unknown but local media reported she may have suffered from a gastro-intestinal disorder before flying.
