Residents of Nabidhoga in Iganga municipality, Uganda were thrown into panic when the decomposing body of a two year old boy was found in a septic tank by an elderly wwoman.
According to reports, the deceased Karim Boto was last seen playing with his friends near the septic tank four days before he went missing.
The LC one chairman Nabidhoga, Mohamed Waiswa said an elderly woman who had been hired to attend to one of the gardens of the owner of septic tank, raised an alarm upon seeing the body floating.
Waiswa claimed that the owner of the septic tank and the parents of the deceased have for the past six years been having a wrangle over a six acre piece of land.
He said three days earlier he had held a meeting between the two parties and urged them to reconcile to avoid bloodshed between the two families in future.
The regional police commander East Busoga,James Mubi said investigations into the death of the minor are still underway.
Stressing that the owner of the septic tank is to be charged for being negligent resulting into the death of the boy.
