Recall that Africa Update had published a report credited to Sahara Reporters about the presence of DSS officials at the Premium Times premises with the aim of arresting the Editor -in- Chief, Mr Muskilu Mojeed, on Sunday morning , over a report made on a purported rift between Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, and National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno.

According to that report, it was alleged that the DSS had earlier launched a manhunt for Samuel Ogundipe, an investigative reporter with Premium Times, over that report, which exposed a memo written by Monguno accusing Kyari of undue interference on matters bordering on national security.
