The Rivers State Governor Chief Nyesom Wike has directed the caretaker committee Chairmen of 23 Local Government Councils to immediately handover to the Head of Personnel Management (HPM) in their respective councils.
This action has finnaly put to rest recent agitations by politicians for the dissolution of the caretaker committees whose tenure had expired several weeks ago.
Governor Wike further directed the HPM to immediately compile names of Council staff to enable government address the issue of unpaid salaries.
