The governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello Of Niger state was allegedly attacked by angry youths in Bida.
According to Sahara Reporters, he narrowly escaped death as his bulletproof vehicle was badly damaged.
It was gathered that Bello was in Niger to commiserate with the people of Bida over the fire inferno that destroyed Bida old market. On arriving bida, he headed straight to Etsu Nupe’s Palace, from there he was accompanied by the Etsu Nupe, HRH, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar to the site of the destroyed Bida old market.
Governor Sani Bello sympathized with those that lost their shops and assured them the government will come to their Aid, The Governor donated the sum of 20 million naira for the traders to get on their feets before the government can assess the extent of damage to compensate them for their loss.
