Twelve ‘Yahoo Boys’ who sacrificed a new born baby arrested in Port Harcourt

Twelve Internet Fraudsters popularly known as Yahoo boys have been arrested in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital for allegedly sacrificing a new born baby for rituals.

Sources revealed that the Yahooboys met their waterloo on Wednesday August 23, when the PLGA Security Watch, also known as PHALGA security, in conjuction with Rivers State Neighbourhood Watch and Azikiwe Police Division, arrested them following a tip off.

Africa Update gathered that the fraudster reportedly buried the new born baby alive at Andoni waterfront in Eagle Island axis of Port Harcourt City Local Government.

In an interview with newsmen, Victor Ohaji aka Man of God, the Chairman of PLGA security watch who doubles as the Chief Security Officer of Eagle Island said he got intelligence that some ‘yahoo yahoo’ boys were doing incantation at the waterfront.

Ohaji said he mobilized his men and on getting to the waterfront, the ‘yahoo’  boys had left. Ohaji said on close observation, it was discovered that the suspected ‘yahoo’ boys had buried something at the waterfront.

He said on digging the ground, a new born baby boy was exhumed from the place who was already died as at the time he was exhumed. Following the discovery, the Rivers State Neighbourhood and the Station Officer of the Police post at Eagle Island were informed, including the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Azikiwe Police Division.

Ohaji disclosed that the PLGA Security Watch, Rivers State Neighbourhood and the Police mobilized and went in search of the suspects at the Eagle Island.

He said the suspects who were coming out from a hotel took to their heels when they spotted the search team. But the joint security force was able to apprehend a good number of them who were taken to Azikiwe Police Division at Illabiuchi in Mile 2 Diobu.

When contacted, the spokesperson of the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the incident, saying an investigation is ongoing.

She stated, “Yes, we can confirm the incident. They were arrested by the police with the help of vigilantes.

” The matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation.
