A lecturer at the Linguistics Department, University of Port Harcourt, Dr. Jones Ayauwo, was kidnapped at gun point close to Bori, in Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State, while returning from the Obolo Bible Translation meeting, that held at Andoni Local Government Area, on Sunday, February 21.
According to reports available to Africa Update, three others who were in the lecturer’s vehicle, were asked to jump out of the car, while the lecturer, who is a native of Andoni, was whisked away at about 6pm.
