The state working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Rivers State, has suspended the Asari Toru Local Government Council PDP chairman, Jerry Thom Amachree.
The Party has also directed the suspended chairman to immediately handover party properties in his possession to the former deputy chairman and current acting chairman, Opakrite Horsfall.
A statement signed by the PDP State Secretary, Samuel Okpoko, reveals that the disciplinary committee has commenced investigation into the activities of the suspended chairman.
