A three-month old baby was thrown into the sea around the Bonny -Andoni route, according to reports. Africa Update gathered that the mother of the child and other traders were accosted by sea pirates on their way to Karr market from Bonny local government area.
An eyewitness said, trouble started when the pirates asked the driver of the boat to jump into the sea, while the passengers were asked to handover their monies. The child’s mother had reportedly given them a small amount, which she claimed was all she had.

She however, ran out of luck when one of the pirates decided to check the baby’s diaper, which revealed some money hidden inside. Upon discovering the hidden money, the baby was tossed into the sea, while they sped off.
