The South South Zonal Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. David Okumgba has congratulated the newly inaugurated caretaker committee of the Rivers State chapter of APC and also saluted the National Working Committee of the party for the steps taken to get the party moving in the state again.
He described the decision of the HE Adams Oshiomhole led NWC as a “timely intervention”.He said “the decision of the NWC to set up a caretaker committee to see through the affairs of the party in Rivers State and start the process for electivecongresses, is a clear indication that the ruling All Progressives Congress is a indeed law abiding party”.
He congratulated the Barr. Isaac Abott Ogbobula led caretaker committee of the party and charged them to be thorough in fufiling the mandate vested on them.
He also advised aggrieved party members and interest groups within the party fold, to shun bitterness and work together towards geninue peace & reconciliation in a bid to build a united front poised to change the ugly narratives in the business of governance currently imposed on Rivers people by the PDP state government.
“APC will bounce back, as a bigger and more united family” he enthused.
