Two students benefit from Saraki’s foreign scholarship Scheme

Two students from Kwara State, who bagged first class in their undergraduate studies, have won the scholarship award sponsored by the Senate President and Senator representing  Kwara Central Senatorial District, Dr.  Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

The students, Abdulkadir Habebulah, a graduate of Euronautic Engineering from the Kwara State University  (KWASU) and Aliyu Ajoke Muinat, a graduate of Chemistry from the University of Ilorin, will be sponsored to study in a prestigious Chinese University.

The two students emerged, from a screening exercise, which had an additional 73 First Class Graduates. The scholarship was announced in December, 2016 at a dinner organized by the Senate President.

Represented by the Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Sulyman Buhari,  the Senate President charged the scholars to be good Ambassadors of the State.

Responding, one of the  beneficiaries, Habebulah said the scholarship came to him as a surprise, and commended the Senate President for giving him and his colleague the privilege of studying abroad.

The brief ceremony which held at the APC secretariat in Ilorin saw the students receive their admission letters and other relevant documents.

The 73 students also received N500,000 each.
