Request to appoint additional Special Advisers by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has met the approval of Lawmakers .
At plenary, the Speaker of the Rivers State House House of Assembly , Rt. Hon Ikuniyi Owaji Ibani, read the letter conveying the Governor’s request to appoint ten additional Special Advisers.
Commenting on the request, the Majority leader, Martins Amaewhule, stated that the Governor’s request was appropriate and urged his colleagues to endorse the proposal, reiterating that the Special Advisers would add value to the Wike led administration.
Ibani, on his part, subjected the request to vote and majority endorsed the request. He mandated the clerk of the House to convey the decision of the lawmakers to the Governor, while plenary was adjourned to Tuesday, May 15, 2018.
