A two-time lawmaker, representing Eti-Osa 1, in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. Alimi Kazeem is dead.
Alimi died few days to the state’s highly anticipated local government elections billed to hold on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
Alimi, who marked his 50th birthday on July 3 was elected on August 8, 2015 and his tenure was expected to end on July 6, 2019.
In a statement by the Speaker of the House, Mr Mudashiru Obasa through his Chief Press Secretary, Musibau Rasak, the news of Alimi’s death was received with shock
According to him, Alimi died on Tuesday July 18, two weeks after his 50th birthday after brief illness at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH.
He is survived by a wife and children.
