The ward and local government area congresses of the All Progressives Congress, APC Rivers State Chapter, have been cancelled.
Though reasons for this decision was not made known to Africa Update, members of the party have been instructed to conduct these congresses on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, respectively.

This directive by the national Secretariat of the party, would mean that the state congress earlier scheduled to hold tomorrow, May 19, can no longer hold.
