Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the Kwara State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Alhaji Ishola Fulani-Balogun, and the Secretary of the party, Chief Bode Adekanye, on Friday at about 10 a.m along Abuja-Lokoja Road.
Our source revealed that the APC chieftains were returning to Kwara State after attending the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja.
The kidnap which caused panic at the Party’s Secretariat, was confirmed by the state Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Buhari, in Ilorin.
Buhari stated that they received a call from the telephone line of the chairman (Fulani-Balogun), notifying them of the kidnap and no ransom was mentioned.
He further revealed that security operatives have been informed about the abduction while attempts to contact Chief Fulani-balogun’s phone has been unsuccessful.
