The South South APC zonal secretary, Hon. David Okumgba, has called for the immediate investigation of circumstances surrounding the collapse of a 7 storey building under construction in Rivers State on November 23, 2018.
Describing the news as devastating, he said it is unthinkable that an error on the part of an Engineer could lead to the collapse of a huge structure with an undisclosed number of persons still trapped in the debris.
He called on relevant authorities to urgently prosecute those found culpable for the collapse, to send a strong note of warming to Engineers who engage in unethical practices.
