There has been a flow of diverse opinions in the country from all angles in regards to the outcome of the PDP Presidential Primaries held in Port Harcourt over the weekend. Some are in support of the results, some against it and others simply unperturbed. A political analyst and legal practitioner in Rivers State, Edwin Jonathan has reacted to the emergence of former vice president ,Atiku Abubakar as the PDP Presidential candidate for the 2019 election, and is of the opinion that Nigeria is in need of a leader that has the yearning of the youths and will enhance growth in the country. Edwin who is a lecturer of law at the Rivers state university said, “what the Nigerian youths need is not necessarily a youth leader, if the leader is 90 years old and he has principles that can deliver the nation from unemployment, from poverty, so be it. we need a leader who understands the dynamics of the nation, who understands that every nation thrives by the strength of its youthful population. Therefore, you must give emphases to education, to job creation, you must ensure that our youths are not involved in criminality in order to survive”.
