The Elections Petitions Tribunal in Abuja has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Andrew Igbonule Uchendu, winner of the Rivers East Senatorial seat.
The court ordered that Chief Uchendu be issued a certificate of return and that of Senator George Sekibo withdrawn.
This ruling has put to rest, all legal issues relating to the rerun election of March 16, 2016 and supplementary election of December 10, 2016.
