The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has charged the newly sworn in Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Â Emmanuel Aguma, to fast track the attempted murder case against the former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Â Chidi Lloyd and the murder case against the former Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area, Â Ojukaye Flag-Amachree.
He charge the charge at Government House, while swearing in Aguma, as Attorney- General for a second time.
Wike said it was wrong for the cases involving the Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, Â APC, Â to linger without conclusive judicial rulings.
Recall that Lloyd was involved in a fracas that broke at the floor of the Rivers State House of Assembly in 2013, when a lawmaker, Michael Chinda was reportedly assaulted during the free for all fight.
A case of attempted murder was filled by Chinda against Lloyd, Â but the trial was stalled when the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Worgu Boms, Â took over the case and made a no case submission before the court.
The case was however, reopened early this year, Â by the Wike led Government.
While Amachree is facing trial for the alleged murder of a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Asari Toru Local Government Area, Â Smart Soberekon.
