A Federal High Court in Lagos, presided over by Justice Abdulaziz Anka, on  Monday dismissed N100m human rights suit filed by former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)  for being incompetent.
In his ruling,  Abdulaziz had  stated that the applicants’ houses were searched by the EFCC, based on search warrants obtained from the Lagos State Magistrates’ Court.

Obanikoro’s lawyer, Lawal Pedro, urged the court to declare the items seized by the EFCC on June 14, 2016 null and void, and award N100m damages against the commission.
