Foreign contractors who fail to open operational bases in Bonny Island for the Train 7 project, will be sanctioned by the Federal Government, going by the warning handed out by the Executive Secretary, Nigeria Content Development and Monitoring Board, Mr Simbi Wabote, at the formal opening of The Promise Fast Food and Restaurant in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Wabote, who made the disclosure over the weekend, said some of the subcontractors participating in the Train 7 project had refused to open their offices in Bonny, thereby denying the youths jobs.
His words: “We have built Train 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and when you ask those companies about their office location, you will discover that the majority of them are not in Bonny.
