Steady Onome Idisi still missing, friend found dead

It is no longer news that the whereabouts of a socialite and humanitarian, Steady Onome Idisi, remains unknown, several weeks after his visit to Asaba. This development has caused serious concerns amongst his friends and family, more so, after the corpse of his dear friend, who was on the trip from Asaba was discovered at a morgue at the Nnamdi Azikiwe teaching hospital, in Nnewi.

While recounting the sad incident to Africa Update, a source said Idisi and his friend had disappeared after checking out of their hotel rooms in Asaba on Sunday, the 20th of February, 2022, enroute to Port Harcourt. They had reportedly ran into some persons suspected to be IPOB militants at Ihiala, and his friend was unfortunately shot dead during the encounter.

The source further revealed that the Police command in Awka, Anambra State has confirmed the death of Idisi’s friend. Reacting to the development, District Governor 2021-22, Rotary International District 9141, Eyone Andy Uwejeyan, wrote: “We had a lead that necessitated our visit to the morgue at Nnewi where the bodies of other victims are kept.

“After close examinations, including checking for hand bracelet, we can safely conclude that he is not one of the victims at the morgue.However, we are still uncertain of his whereabouts.Should anyone have any leads, please do not hesitate to contact us, as we spontaneously act on every lead given the nature of the incident.You will be updated as events unfold, but let’s continue to pray and hope for the best.”
