SARS rescue kidnap victim from Bacoco community

The Cross Rivers State Police commissioner Mr. Henry Fadairo  has hinted that it has zero tolerance for criminals and kidnappers in the state during his chat with newsmen on the recent activities of the command. The police boss said the command rescued a victim Mr. Bartholomew Effiong from his abductors on Friday April 8 at Bacoco community in the Calabar Municipality  following a distress call the Special anti robbery squad ( SARS) received early hours of April 7. ” on the. 7th of April, our men received a distress call that one Bartholomew Effiong has been kidnapped. The SARS team quickly proceeded to Bacoco community, surveyed the area and pinned down for awhile. The next day being 8th April, the suspects were sighted by our men and heavy shooting occurred. Our men over powered them and they escaped into a nearby bush with gunshot wounds. The victim and the vehicle were recovered while investigation is on going to arrest the suspects” he stated.
