Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Garden City: Opuene vows to impact society

As part of efforts aimed at eradicating polio and impact on the living standards of residents in Old Port Harcourt Township axis of Rivers State, Rtn. Pedro Opuene has pledged to embark on projects in the 6 areas of focus of Rotary International.

He made the pledge at his installation as the 5th president of Rotary Club of Port Harcourt Garden City, on August 27, 2017.

Opuene assured guests and Rotarians, of his club’s commitment in ensuring that the 2017/2018 rotary year will herald the consolidation of achievements made during the 2016/2017 rotary year.

Earlier in her remarks, the Immediate Past President , Rtn. Gloria Boma Harry, expressed satisfaction at the achievements recorded by the club during her reign and reiterated her resolve to support her successor, Rtn. Pedro, in his quest to embark on people oriented projects in line with the ‘Rotary making a difference theme’ for 2017/2018 rotary year.

She also expressed her appreciation to Past Assistant Governors, Tony Eteng and Virginia Major, for their support.
