The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has ordered the immediate suspension of four Commissioners for three months.
A Statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, stated that the  affected commissioners are John Bazia, Chieftaincy and community Affairs; Tonye Briggs-Oniyide; Culture and Tourism; Fred Kpakol; Finance; and Boma Iyaye; Sports.
He said the Head of Service, Rufus Godwin and Special Adviser on Lands Anugbun Onuoha, were also affected by the suspension.Â
No reason was given for the suspension.
