The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command, CP Eboka Friday has expressed deep shock over the sudden death of the former public relations officer of the Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni.
Omoni, the longest serving PPRO of the Command, who hailed from Ndele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, died on Tuesday at the Rivers state Teaching Hospital (RSTH) over an undisclosed ailment.
He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on November 1, 1989, and served in various capacities including Rivers state command PPRO for many years. He was the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Elimgbu police Station, before his death.
CP Eboka in a statement signed by SP Grace Iringe-Koko, PPRO, said further development will be communicated in due course, after consultations with the family members.
