The Vice-Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Professor Okey Onuchuku, has hosted a distinguished retirement reception in honour of Professor N. E. S. Lale, the 8th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt.
The event, held at the main campus Auditorium in Rumuolumeni, served as a high-profile celebration of Professor Lale’s illustrious academic career and his significant contributions to the Nigerian tertiary education sector.
The proceedings commenced with a scholarly public lecture, which drew together members of the academia, former colleagues, and high-ranking university officials. The lecture underscored Professor Lale’s enduring legacy as a researcher and administrator, reflecting on the advancements made under his stewardship during his tenure at the University of Port Harcourt.
In a move to further immortalise the celebrant’s academic contributions, the ceremony featured the formal presentation of two books.
