The former senator who represented Cross River South on the platform of the defunct National Republican Convention between 1991 andl 1992, Sen. Patrick Ani, was kidnapped from his herbal farm in Akpabuyo Local Government area of the state by yet to be identified gunmen on Wednesday.
The police public relations officer of Cross Rivers State command, ASP Irene Ugbo, told journalists that the incident had been reported to the police .
Ani is the brother of a former Minister of Finance, Chief Anthony Ani.
