Former governor of Rivers State and Minister of transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has disclosed that Nyesom Wike led~government has failed in the protection of lives and property of the people and those doing businesses in the State.
He said the state under the leadership of Wike was no longer a safe heaven for investors , as it was during his reign as governor.
Amaechi spoke at a dedication of the campaign organization of the APC gubernatorial candidate Tonye Cole at the Redeemed Christain Church of God King’s Palace Port Harcourt on Sunday.
” The first thing we will do when we come into government under APC is to protect lives and ensure there is a safe environment for buisness to thrive..
What we see presently is a situation where all buisness shops are empty ,all the houses in Port Harcourt are empty where all business shops are empty ,all the houses in Port Harcourt are empty and people are on the run.
‘People are rushing to Lagos or Abuja . So what we are assuring Rivers people and Nigerians is that when we form government the first thing that will happen in this State is that we will go back to where l stopped in terms of security.
‘We must ensure that people move about freely and carry on with their day to day businesses without fear,we will provide good governance for all and ensure the safety of our people’.
