Members of the Rivers State House of Assembly on Monday, June 5, elected Martin Amaewhule, the former House Leader as Speaker.
The 10th Assembly was inaugurated by Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who officially dissolved the 9th Assembly to pave the way for the commencement of the first session of the House at the Assembly Chambers in Port Harcourt.
Africa Update gathered that aside from Amaewhule’s much-anticipated speakership, the 10th Rivers Assembly picked Dumle Maol as Deputy Speaker and Edison Ehie was elected Majority Leader with Major Jack emerging as Chief Whip
