Over 15 people have reportedly drowned in River Kaduna on Saturday night, as they frantically tried to escape from armed bandits. The sad incident Africa Update gathered took place at Gurmana Ward in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.
Sources said that the bandits were armed with sophisticated weapons and were shooting sporadically when they entered into the community. The people had ran towards the river to escape the attack when they drowned. There are unnumbered casualties but there is no certainty to the number of those affected at the moment.
