Senator Magnus Abe has urged the Rivers State Government to investigate circumstances surrounding recent boat accidents in the state.
The Senator representing Rivers South East Senatorial District, frowned at the fact that people are not held accountable for not adhering to rules and standards.
‘What are the rules and the regulations that guide our seaways? Who are those responsible for this kind of thing happening? What is being done, not just to ensure that whoever is culpable in this act is punished to ensure that it doesn’t happen again to other people?
“So that we don’t have to gather like this another day to discuss this kind of situation’, he lamented.
