RSUST receives N1 billion, graduates 5067

The need for high education standard and practice in tertiary institutions was the crux of the speech delivered by the Rivers state governor Chief Nyesom Wike at the 28th convocation ceremony of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) Nkpolu Oroworokwu on April 9. He said the Rivers State government has approved the immediate release of N1 billion for the reconstruction of the faculties of Environmental Science and Management Science while construction of the college of medicine complex has commenced and funds released to enable students start academic activity this year.  Speaking further he announced the renaming of the faculty of law complex to Dr. Nabo Graham Douglas complex in honor of a seasoned lawyer and  great leader in Rivers State.  Chief Wike however tasked stakeholders in the education sector to fight against cult activities in tertiary institutions and charged parents and guardians to take full responsibility for the proper upbringing of their children.
