lead witness in NIS N676 million job scam testifies against Moro

A former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, (NIS) and lead witness of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Mr. David Shikfu narrated how the recruitment exercise that led to the death of about 20 applicants across the country in 2014, was planned and executed before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Friday.
He told the court that all the Comptrollers in each state of the federation, “received alert of N300, 000.00” from Drexel Tech Nigeria Ltd (the company the former minister awarded the recruitment exercise) a day before the ill-fated recruitment exercise took place, insisting that he was not involved or properly briefed by the former Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro.
The former Minister Moro, the former Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Anastasia Daniel-Nwobia, a ‎Deputy Director in the Ministry, Mr. F. O Alayebami and the consultants were dragged before trial Justice Nnamdi Dimgba on an 11-count charge , over alleged N676 million job scam.
