Two policemen attached to the convoy of Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State, died on Friday afternoon, Â at Mikang, in Mikang local government area of the state, in an accident.
Africa Update gathered that Lalong had gone to commission projects executed by him at Mikang, as part of events to mark his first year in office, and the policemen were reportedly hanging on a Hilux van belonging to Operation Rainbow (the state’s private security outfit) when the driver of the van allegedly veered into a corner, suddenly flinging the victims off the Hilux van.
The rest of the convoy,  sped off, oblivious of what had befallen the policemen. The victims however, died on the spot as a result of head injuries they sustained.
