The Chairman of National Population Commission, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra supported by members of the Commission, on February 7, inaugurated the 2022 Census Technical Working Group at the Commission’s headquarters, in Abuja. With its Inauguration, the Census Technical Working Group is tasked with the responsibility of supervising the entire census project from planning stage to its eventual implementation.
Africa Update was reliably informed that the Group, in consultation with the Commission will deliberate on all technical issues concerning the census process and act as a clearing house for all census matters before presentation to the Census Committee and Commission.
CTWG comprises the following members; Acting Director-General, Mrs. Patience Uju Mbagwu as the Chairman; Census Technical Adviser, Dr. Collins Opiyo; Director Census, Mrs. Arinola Olanipekun; Director Cartography, Prince Joseph Ogunsina; Director Public Affairs, Dr. Isiaka Yahaya; Director Planning and Research, Hajiya Bintu Abba Ibrahim; Director Administration and Human Resources, Aishatu Abubakar Girie; Director Legal Services, Barr. (Mrs.) Chioma Umeh; Director Procurement, Muhammad Abubakar; Director General Services, Ifeoma Nwajagu; Director Special Duties, Hussaini Alhaji Isiyaku; Director ICT, Martins Udeh; Director Vital Registration, Mathew Temidayo;
Director Population Management and Development, Margaret Edison; Director Finance and Account, Clement Ezego; Secretary to the Commission, Charles Onuigbo; Head of Internal Audit, Fasasi T; and Census Manager, Dr. Inuwa Jalingo to serve as the Secretary.
