A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and immediate past Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has refuted rumours that he is planning to switch to the All Progressives Congress after meeting with President Bola Tinubu on Friday.
Wike, met with Tinubu alongside Seyi Makinde and James Ibori, to pledge support for him four days after he was sworn in as the president of Nigeria.
Wike, dismissed rumours that he was planning to join the APC and denied that switching to the APC was on the agenda of the meeting.
He said: “No. No plans. Nothing like that. We are Nigerians and we have come to give the president support. That is what is required. There is no big deal about that.”
